The Regional public hospital Dr A. Gaffoor Jeetoo is situated in the district of Port Louis in the Capital iof Mauritius. First built in 1733 this major hospital is also one of the oldest and was renovated in 2008 to meet current international medical standards, which included the design, supply, install, test and Commission a Building Management System for the New Jeetoo Hospital.
The building management system priorities were controls to monitor the hospital’s mechanical and electrical equipment such as extractor fans, chilled and hot water management, fire alarm systems, medical gas systems, generators and air handling units. The overall cost allocated by the government for the renovation was 2 billion Mauritian Rupees (approximately £44million). Delta Controls supplied the equipment, with 3-D graphics and user friendly interface being created by the local approved installation partner Firstco.
