As a part of the Canberra International Airport, Majura Park Office Precinct Central Services Building was constructed with a Trigeneration system that provides power for the four office buildings as a cost effective clean green alternative.

Results

The Majura Central Services Building (CSB) is a two level structure (basement and ground) over approximately 1,000m2 of building area predominantly below ground. The building houses the Mechanical Services (Heating/Cooling and Tri-generation) to serve the Majura Office Park buildings (at completion approximately 40,000m2 of NLA). Delta Building Automations’ engineering and construction departments worked seamlessly throughout the project and information was shared by the entire team which enabled a comprehensive and open attitude to achieve commercially viable outcomes and to meet the complex technical design brief and by incorporating such practices as;

• Best use of available technology, including extensive use of High Level Interface networks to Variable speed drives, Chillers and remote PLC systems and electrical, gas and water metering.
• Comprehensive design reviews resulting in increased accuracy of up front design before manufacture.
• Coordination of design between other teams in electrical, fire systems, mechanical services, generator and other trades operating outside the company’s scope of works.
