Delta Controls, a new "Rising Star" leads the way for Educational Facilities

The APPA (Association of Physical Plant Administrators) Annual Conference and Exhibition is the premier event for educational facilities professionals. This year's conference was held July 16-18, 2011 in Atlanta, Georgia.
The annual APPA conference is the ultimate networking and learning experience for facilities officers, directors, and management personnel from around the world. APPA 2011 explored the latest trends, challenges and solutions facing facilities organizations within colleges and universities; K-12 private academies and public school systems; libraries, museums, and other institutions of learning.
During the 2011 APPA Conference Awards ceremony, Delta Controls received a total of 4 awards.
Perhaps the biggest surprise of the night during the Awards Ceremony, but not to us here at Delta Controls, was the presentation of the "Rising Star" award. This newly introduced award was awarded to our own Melinda Nelson, Market Manager - Higher Education at Delta Controls in recognition of her superior creative initiatives and outstanding partnerships.
Melinda was also presented with the "President's Award" in recognition of outstanding service, dedication and loyalty to APPA. The President's Award is given to individual APPA members who have demonstrated exceptional achievement in facilities management and who have made outstanding contributions to the association.
The "Business Partner Award" (Platinum Sponsorship) was awarded to Delta Controls for Global Partners in Learning.
And Delta's forth award of the evening was the "APPA Strategic Business Partner 2011" Awarded in recognition of Delta's dedication to the advancement and support of the educational facilities profession. This award is based on the number of APPA tradeshows participated in, sponsorships of events such as the APPA Facilities Drive-Ins, presenting at APPA events and advertising initiatives.
Delta Controls has been a proud partner of the APPA family for several years. These four awards presented to Delta Controls at the 2011 APPA Awards Ceremony reflect our commitment and dedication to maintaining the established partnerships and looking forward to forging new alliances within the educational facilities profession. The facilities industry is facing many challenges with trying to minimize energy consumption and reducing our carbon footprint.
