NEXUS, the Green Building Resource Center Celebrates One-Year Anniversary in Partnership with GxP Automation and Delta Controls

On Thursday May 8th, 2008, NEXUS will celebrate its one-year anniversary in its partnership with GxP Automation and Delta Controls who together provided NEXUS with controls for their new Green facility.
When NEXUS, the Boston Green Building Resource Center, built their facility, they sought out a control system that would offer them the technology and flexibility required to demonstrate the many Green Building initiatives associated with environmental health and energy savings.
GxP Automation, LLC and Delta Controls teamed up to provide the solution they required. With the Delta Controls fully programmable native BACnet system, we are able to integrate the Aircuity environmental monitoring system and provide unique control from the main mechanical systems down to the room level. This control has both increased the environmental health of the building as well as maximizes energy savings. In addition, with the inherent tenant WEB portal, each tenant can monitor and control their space right from their own computer as well as be notified when to open or close the operable windows to maximize operational efficiency and minimize mechanical cooling or heating.

NEXUS (pursuing LEED CI) includes over 6,000 square feet of product and educational showrooms, a print and online samples and resource library and networking space. The center is staffed by green building experts and LEED accredited professionals. It is open to building owners, architects, engineers, designers, developers and the general public.
