Delta Controls Supports Landmark Facility at the University of Western Ontario

April 16, 2008

The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Western Ontario (UWO) is in the process of building the new Claudette MacKay-Lassonde Pavilion. The Claudette MacKay-Lassonde Pavilion will be a new $22-million 45,000 square-foot building that will integrate modern technology and the principles of environmental sustainability.

Delta Controls is pleased to be a part of this landmark facility by making a generous donation to help in the construction of this Pavilion. In recognition of this gift, the Faculty of Engineering has decided to name the conference room of the new Pavilion the Delta Controls Conference Room.

The Claudette MacKay-Lassonde Pavilion represents the most significant capital project in the history of UWO’s Engineering department, and will advance the research and development of viable green technologies with the potential to make a significant impact on the sustainability of natural resources and the environment.

Additionally, the Claudette MacKay-Lassonde Pavilion will be the first facility at Western to meet the recognized international standards of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating. The achievable aim is to be awarded the “Gold” rating. Not only will the Pavilion be the first LEED-certified building on Western’s campus, but it will be only the 2nd in London and the 15th in Ontario.
