Job Title: Service Technician

 

Job Description:

  • Responds to customer service calls (emergency, on-site, or on-line), checks indicated points of trouble, analyzes full requirement of system involved and checks and tests systems components. Diagnoses trouble or defect determines corrective action and repairs system.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and diagnostics on automation system and components according to service agreement contracts.
  • Tests and verifies system readings ensuring an optimal system operation.
  • Identifies additional chargeable opportunities including time & material work, system upgrades and service contract expansion.
  • Completes service repairs, replacements, upgrades, adjustments and calibration on automation systems and components following issued tasking, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation instructions.
  • Performs system checkouts and assists in automation systems startups for service installed jobs.
  • Completes and submits written service orders and reports covering all aspects of each assignment and activity.
  • Conducts training and development classes for customers and employees on-site or at the branch office.
  • Delivers technical support, coaching and direction to end-users and employees when applicable.

 

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of automation systems, HVAC, electrical concepts and building operations.
  • Skilled in programming, commissioning, graphic design.
  • Advanced knowledge of DDC/Mechanical service troubleshooting.
  • Thorough understanding of control theory and control concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software and strong PC skills.
  • Extensive experience with Delta Controls Systems (Version 2 & 3 platforms).

  • Ability to conceptualize and implement strategies and procedures that will improve Service Operations.
  • Leadership in promoting and directing our service initiatives: setting the example, informing and promoting the program, application and administration of techniques and programs.
