Job Title: IT Technician
Job Description: The successful candidate will have significant experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise server and desktop solutions including but not limited to Windows Server 2000/2003, XP, Vista, Exchange 2003/2007, SQL 2000/2005, Sharepoint 2007, and Blackberry Enterprise Server. Candidates will be proficient with Active Directory, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP,Must be willing to travel to customer sites located throughout Colorado on a regular basis, and occasionally travel to sites located across the United States. Candidates must be customer focused, self motivated, effective communicators, and posses the ability to work in a team environment. Development skills including Visual Basic, Access, ASP, ASP.NET, HTML, XML, and SOAP are a plus.
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Installing and configuring enterprise PCs, Servers and peripheral devices, in support of an internal 75-100 user environment.
- Installing and configuring PCs, Servers and peripheral devices for customer sites.
- Provide hardware and software support for PCs, Servers and peripherals.
- Maintain and support 2003 Active Directory environment.
- Support, maintain, and manage, a Microsoft Exchange 2003 environment.
- Responsibilities may require on call for after-hours emergencies and support.
- Strong team skills and a customer-support background.
Impeccable organization, project management, verbal and written skills, are an absolute must.
Position Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, or related discipline is preferred. Other degreed disciplines will be considered when combined with industry certifications and job experience.
Microsoft Certifications in one or more of the following are a plus:
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
- Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST)
Experience with the following are a must:
- Windows 2000/2003 Server, RRAS, Backup Solutions, Antivirus, Networking, Active Directory.
- Experience implementing and supporting a Windows 2003 Active Directory Network.
- Experience with MS Exchange, IIS, ISA, Sharepoint & SQL Server.
- Experience managing MS Security (Patch Management) and updates.
- Knowledge of popular MS Windows PC software programs, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Internet Explorer.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, and DHCP.
- Understanding of backup, restore, and disaster recovery methodologies.
Experience with the following are a plus:
- Visual Basic, Visual C#, .NET, MS Access Development
- SQL Database Design
- HTML, ASP, ASP.NET, XML, SOAP, Web Services
