Job Title: Intermediate ‘C’ Software Developer

Job Summary:

 

The Product Development Department has an opening for an Intermediate Software Developer with 3 or more years of experience. The position is with the Large Controller Development Team. This team is responsible for Delta’s main controller product lines including requirements, conceptual design, H/W and S/W implementation and testing.

 

This job is at Delta Controls Inc. Corporate Headquarters in Surrey, BC (Cloverdale area).

 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Detailed Design and Implementation of firmware components at various levels in the hierarchy including low-level (device-driver), OS services, network stacks and application code.
  • Programming in ‘C’ on Windows, Linux and various real-time OS environments.
  • Contributing to design and code reviews for other projects in a team environment.
  • Assisting Quality Assurance team members to develop test plans.
  • Working with Application and Field Engineers on product improvements.

 

General Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of ‘C’
  • Good knowledge of operating system concepts (threads, processes, low-level functions, etc.)
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of full-time programming experience
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux programming is an asset
  • Knowledge of C++ and/or C# is an asset
  • Linux kernel driver development is an asset
  • Assembly programming experience is an asset
  • Some hardware knowledge is an asset
