Job Title: Senior Windows Software Developer

Job Summary:
We have an opening for a Software Developer with at least 3 years experience (Intermediate to Senior level). The position is in the Product Development Department, working with the OWS Team on Advanced Operator Workstation Software (Delta’s ORCAview). The team is responsible for all aspects of development from feature conception to development to release.
ORCAview is the most advanced BACnet interface software available today. It includes a graphics drawing tool, program editors, reporting, real-time object dialogs, and a host of other features.
The ideal candidate will have a broad range of interests and abilities in software development. He/She will work in a MS Windows environment using the newest technologies for application development. The size of the application requires that team members be versatile in their abilities and will work at all levels of the application – from low-level C code to dialog scripts.
This job is located at Delta Controls Inc Corporate Headquarters in Surrey, BC (Cloverdale).
Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of C++ classes
- Design and implementation of C and C# functions
- Some windows dialog implementation
- Front-end design using MFC and .Net
- Research into new technologies
- Peer review of code and designs
- Contributions to the overall design and software architecture of existing and new systems
General Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Computer Science
- Must have a minimum of 3 years experience using C/C++, preferably with Microsoft Visual Studio
- Experienced in Windows Services and multi-threaded application implementation
- Experience using MFC and .Net frameworks
- GUI design skills a definite asset
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Web design / technology experience an asset
